A model 873 male artificial foot is intended for lower limb prostheses for patients with partially amputated foot, and with amputated feet by the methods of Chopart, Lisfranc and Syme. The foot ensures reliable connection of the receiving sleeve to the foot, and high weight-bearing capacity, the roll function, cushioning and spring functions for reducing the force of impact and ensures an easier roll.
The foot is used in prosthetics of patients with various weight (80, 100 kg) and activity level.
Structure, materials and complement
The foot consists of an elastic support element located in the cosmetic shell made of skin colored polyurethane foam. An elastic supporting element is a profiled plate of carbon fiber that follows the profile of the plantar part of the foot. The bend in the sagittal area of the elastic element ensures recovery of the deformation energy and also ensures effective roll of the foot when walking.
Besides the above mentioned characteristics, the new foot features higher durability, which is achieved by a successful combination of materials based on carbon fiber and polyurethane compositions.
The design has incorporated soft heel wedge that improves comfort when walking on uneven and bumpy surfaces.
It comes complete with the leg tube, adaptive elements, a cup for fastening the receiving sleeve and silicone case. The use of a set of semi-finished products can significantly reduce the time of the prosthesis manufacturing, while maintaining high quality of the service rendered.
